Twin Falls
A beautiful patch here in the Upstate of South Carolina. A short half mile hike to the covered viewing platform. Trail is easy to walk on and encourages a leisurely stroll through the clean woods. Side paths veered toward the Reedy Cove creek; clear rushing water scurrying from one rock to another added a musical background to the crisp morning.
Starting from the parking area the trail is level with pleasant tree coverage on either side of the trail. The second section has a slight elevation gain and a drop off on the right side of the trail. Pathway is wide enough so that should not be a problem. I, an older man with trekking poles, had no fear of stepping off the path and unexpectedly swimming in the fast moving water. A wooden ramp leads up to the viewing platform, benches are built on the back inside rails and a wooden railing faces and keeps you from stepping towards the falls.
Relax, enjoy the view, take lots of pictures!
